*Atomic Habits* is on most bestseller lists for a reason: Clear has distilled the behavioural science of habit formation into a framework simple enough to remember and concrete enough to use. The "habit stacking" technique, the "two-minute rule" for starting new habits, the focus on identity-level change rather than outcome-level goals — these have all become common vocabulary in coaching and therapy.
We recommend this often to clients building between-session habits: a daily mindfulness practice, a sleep routine, a movement habit, a journaling rhythm. The book doesn't replace the deeper work of therapy, but it gives clients a real toolkit for the in-between of sessions.
A useful pairing with ACT-informed therapy, where building values-aligned action is part of the work.
A note. This is reading material, not clinical treatment. If you’re working through something difficult, books complement therapy — they don’t replace it. Book a session with our team for personalised support.
